HW Part Store uses Avalara Avatax to provide accurate tax data based on your shipping address and to manage any tax exemptions available for our products. Currently, we collect sales tax in the following U.S. states:

- Virginia
- West Virginia
If you have a valid tax exemption and your delivery is to one of these states, you must complete and electronically sign a digital exemption certificate before placing your order.
How to Request a Tax Exemption

Contact Us:
Call or email us at 979-402-0188 or parts@hwpartstore.com to inform us that you require a tax exemption for your account before making a purchase. -
Provide Your Information:
Share your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address so we can set up your account and send you the digital exemption form. -
Complete the Digital Exemption Form:
Once you receive the link to the digital exemption form, select the type of exemption, complete the required fields for verification, and sign the form electronically. -
Review Process:
Our team will review your submitted form within 24 hours. You will receive a notification once the exemption is applied to your account. -
Place Your Order:
Use the same email account to complete your checkout. If you notice that taxes are still being applied, please contact us immediately by phone or email, and we’ll resolve the issue promptly.
Exemption Certificate Renewals
As tax exemption certificates approach their expiration date, our system automatically manages renewals. You will receive an email notification directly from Avalara with instructions on how to update your exemption information. This email will include a link to fill out a new digital exemption form, ensuring your account remains updated and your exemption stays active.
